Businesses targeted in new campaign
Businesses in Surrey are being encouraged to play their part in a new campaign launched by the Surrey Safety Camera Partnership.
Employers and those who drive as part of their job are being reminded of the possible disastrous consequences of speeding. The campaign focuses on the human and economic costs if workers are involved in an accident, or receive a driving ban.
The campaign, A fine. Your Licence. Your Job. A Life? , will use radio, billboards, petrol pump nozzles, articles in the business press, mailshots, posters and local newspaper advertising throughout September and October.
The partnership's project manager, Duncan Knox, explained: "We want businesses to think about the potential costs in lost productivity, sick pay and increased insurance premiums if an employee is involved in an accident, or the cost of replacing staff who receive driving bans."
