Rocky rubs shoulders with the stars

Top pop stars have backed Swansea road safety team's campaign to highlight the dangers of mobile phone use while driving or crossing the road.

X Factor's Shayne Ward (above), members of McFly, Liberty X and Right Said Fred, joined Swansea's Rocky the Road Safety Rooster, at a 'party in the park' to support the campaign.

Rocky helped hand out free mobile phone/MP3 lanyards bearing the slogan 'DON'T B A CRASH TXT DUMMY!!'.

Jeff Green, county RSO, said: "We're trying to educate people about texting and talking on the phone in a safe environment, not while they are crossing the road or driving."
