Summer campaign reflects on bikers

Motorcycles_lancs_summer_campaign
Lancashire Constabulary and Lancashire Road Safety Group have joined forces to encourage motorcyclists to enjoy riding safely and responsibly.

The 'Reflections' campaign is running throughout July and August to make motorcyclists and motorists think about riding and driving. The message for bikers is to enjoy your ride - safely and responsibly - or be prosecuted, and for drivers to look twice for bikers.

The campaign is running on bus backs, in washrooms in bars and clubs and at motorway service areas. There will also be radio advertising and postcards with tips for drivers.

Neil Cunliffe, road safety group manager, said: "Not all motorcycle crashes are caused by the biker. Bikers are very vulnerable and the key message for drivers in this campaign is that 'Size Does Matter'."
