Airport campaign says ‘fly safe, drive safe’

Drink_drive_fly_safe_drive_safe
Greater Manchester’s Drivesafe initiative is urging holidaymakers to be sensible when drinking on holiday flights this summer.

Travellers passing through Manchester airport will see a poster campaign entitled ‘Beers on a plane’, which highlights a risk that is often overlooked.
Communications manager Karen Delaney says: “When you are in ‘holiday mode’ and there is little else to do on the plane, it is all too easy to drink alcohol and forget that you still have to drive home when you leave the airport.”

A second poster focuses on foreigners travelling to the UK who may not be aware of our seatbelt laws.
