Classic day in Redbridge

Drink_drive_redbridge_show
The road safety team at the London Borough of Redbridge held a road safety/999 day and classic car show on 13 July.

The event included a display celebrating 50 years of motorways in Britain and a ‘drink drive’ bar, where a police officer from the traffic unit gave breathaliser demonstrations and samples of alcohol free wine and beer. And for children there were quizzes, competitions and a treasure hunt, as well as a chance to make their own road safety badge.

The London cycling campaign ran a children's cycle circuit, where young cyclists could test their skills on an obstacle course, and Dr Bike gave advice on cycle maintenance.

There was also a fine display of classic vehicles, including a selection of old ambulances and police vehicles.
