The Streetlight Singers serenaded shoppers in Canterbury on 18 July to raise awareness that streetlights means there’s a 30 mph speed limit unless otherwise stated.
The performance was part of the Kent and Medway Safety Camera Partnership’s ‘Streetlights mean 30’ campaign. The singers blasted our their ‘streetlight song’ to passing shoppers as members of the streetlight team handed out free flashlight key rings.
Katherine Barratt commented: “The launch was a great success and caused quite a stir. Some members of the public did admit to not knowing the rule but would remember it now thanks to the Streetlight Singers.”
