TACS demonstrations planned

Children_dhl_TACs
The Excel Foundation is planning a series of demonstrations in September, to enable RSOs to experience the Trucks and Child Safety (TACS) campaign.

Trucks and Child Safety (TACS) is a national programme run by The Exel Foundation and employees of DHL. It is delivered free of charge and aims to teach children aged 7-11 years to be safe on the road by creating awareness of large vehicles and their associated dangers.

By taking trucks into schools, TACS demonstrators teach children about the dangers of trucks and road safety. Volunteers receive a day’s training from The Exel Foundation and undergo a CRB check before becoming a demonstrator.

On average more than 12,000 children each year are educated on the dangers of trucks and road safety.

For further information contact Pierre de Carteret at DHL.
