Business drivers targeted in new campaign

The Surrey Safety Camera Partnership has launched a new campaign targeting business drivers and their employers.

’Make it your business to slow down’ focuses on the potential human and economic costs to workers and employers if drivers are involved in an accident or receive a driving ban.

The partnership is using billboards, petrol pump advertising, articles in the business press, mailshots and posters to promote the campaign. It has also produced a leaflet giving tips on how to drive more safely, and suggesting ways in which employers can improve driving standards among their workforce.

Adrian Creek, the partnership’s communications manager, said: “We want to encourage those businesses that are not already doing so to take positive action to improve driving standards among their staff. It makes sound financial sense because the reward for them is a safer workforce, lower costs and an enhanced reputation for their company.”

For further information contact Adrian Creek on 01483 519541.
