Scooter sessions trialled in Leeds

Motorcycle_scooter_leeds
As part of the Quality Yorkshire Riders’ partnership, Leeds City Council is running a trial of free scooter training sessions at Leeds College of Technology.

The two-hour session aims to develop road craft skills and encourages young riders to wear proper riding clothing rather than leisure clothing.

Riders are also given advice on how to check and maintain their machines, and a road riding assessment and tips on improving their observation and anticipation.

The sessions are conducted by an approved trainer and a further pilot is planned for Bradford College to fine-tune the syllabus. Ultimately the scheme will be rolled out on a wider basis.

For further information contact Dave Glanville on 0113 247 5198.
