New resource tackles reckless driving

Other_confetti
The Greater Manchester Casualty Reduction Partnership (Drivesafe) has created a new resource to tackle the problem of reckless driving among 17‐25 year olds.

Funded through the DfT partnership grants scheme, ‘Wrecked’ features people recounting their experiences of reckless driving – without showing their faces.

David Maloney, project officer, explains: “We want people to project the faces of people they know onto the characters. By giving the viewer a blank canvas it makes it easier for them to relate to the stories being told.”

The DVD features 20 different stories, ranging from the story of Debbie, who loses concentration when attempting to drive to work with a hangover, to Paul who loses his son in a tragic moment of recklessness.
