A five-week television advertising campaign spearheads Safer Roads For Cumbria’s Christmas drink drive campaign.

The two advertisements are ‘One Pint Leads to Another’ (which ran during summer 2008) and a complementary ad featuring a wine bottle and a corkscrew to target female drivers.

The TV ads are supported by beer mats and posters distributed through pubs and clubs throughout Cumbria.

The publicity campaign will be accompanied by an operation by Cumbria Constabulary comprising high profile vehicle checks and breath tests - with an emphasis on catching ‘morning after’ drivers.
