Lancashire receives commendation

SMALL JOURNEYS
Lancashire’s road safety group has received a commendation for its ‘Journeys’ toolkit, which aims to help reduce child casualties through education and training.

The toolkit is made up of two resources, ‘Small’ and ‘Primary’ Journeys. ‘Small Journeys’ is a two-part resource aimed at health visitors and pre-school carers. ‘Primary Journeys’ helps schools incorporate road safety education and training into the curriculum, and provides information for parents.

Tony Spalding, chairman of RoadSafe, said: “The Prince Michael International Road Safety Awards' commendation recognises and applauds the work of everybody involved in this fantastic project.”
