‘Squiffy’ characters feature in drink drive campaign

Drink_Drive_squiffy
The final phase of Bedfordshire County Council’s Christmas drink drive campaign took place on 22 December in Bedford town centre.

Bill Brady, road risk manager, said: “Using slang for being drunk, four characters - Brahms & Liszt, a giant skunk and a giant newt - tried to persuade people not to drink and drive.

“By taking a more humorous approach to connecting with the public, and speaking to them about how serious the subject actually is, we hope that the message will be remembered.”

For further information contact Bill Brady on 01234.228336.
