‘You booze, you lose’, campaign says

You booze, you lose

The Essex Casualty Reduction Board (ECRB) has launched its summer drink drive campaign using the strap line, ‘You booze. You lose’.

ECRB points to statistics showing that the number of younger drink-drivers is on the increase - people aged 17 to 24 years make up the highest numbers of both offenders and casualties in drink-driving incidents.

The ECRB campaign primarily targets 17-29 year old males with a simple message; if you are ‘drink driving’ you stand a high risk of being caught and losing your licence.

Councillor Norman Hume said: “Drink driving should be a concern for every adult. It is vital we help reduce the number of drink drive incidents as nearly one in six of all road deaths involve drivers over the legal limit.”
