Kingston trains the trainers

Kingston cycle training
Kingston Council’s cyclist trainers are not only delivering professional training to residents in Kingston - they have also trained 70 instructors working for Surrey County Council to deliver Bikeability training to children.

For more than two years, Kingston Council has been delivering the national accreditation programme to train professional cyclist instructors and is a leading Bikeability scheme provider delivering the three levels of the National Standard. Kingston’s trainers have now helped 170 instructors reach full accreditation, including Surrey County Council and the London Borough of Richmond.

Kingston Council also provides a ‘Continuing Professional Development and Mentoring Course’ aimed at accredited instructors operating at a more advanced level as part of a Bikeability scheme.
