‘It’s just a click’, campaign says

In_car_safety_appliance_back
Sussex Safer Roads Partnership (SSRP) is running a safety belt campaign reminding motorists that ‘it’s just a click’ - and using a new publicity tool courtesy of East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.

Sussex Police recently took part in the Europe-wide Operation Talon and issued 333 fixed penalty notices in just one week to drivers who had failed to secure themselves properly.

To remind drivers of their legal (and moral) responsibilities to strap themselves and their passengers in appropriately, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service is trialling information messages on the back of fire appliances. The posters remind drivers to wear their safety belt and use non-threatening images designed to be viewed by all ages.

The campaign also includes radio ads and posters displayed at sites throughout the county.
