Walk to work, campaign urges

Walk to work

A campaign by the charity, Living Streets, is urging people in London to walk to work.

Walking Works, funded by Transport for London (TfL), was launched on 26 April with a Walk to Work Day.

Events included a walk across Tower Bridge by people dressed as Dolly Parton to promote the slogan ‘Walking Nine to Five’.

London residents can sign a pledge online to include more walking in their journey to work - and the campaign website includes tips for anyone wanting to walk to work, including safety advice.
