Bucks pilots young driver training course

Generic young driver
Buckinghamshire’s road safety team is to pilot a driver training programme aimed at developing young drivers. The scheme is intended to be ‘innovative and creative’ and will require the help of ‘driver trainers who have a passion for driving, and believe they can inspire people to become better drivers’.

Val Letheren, portfolio holder for transportation, said: “We are continually trying to develop and improve training courses for young and novice drivers. It needs a combined effort from parents, communities and the Government to educate people about road safety, which is why we are looking to involve the local community in this new young driver course.”
