Doncaster deploys TIE scheme

Doncaster_circus
Doncaster’s road safety team is using an interactive Theatre in Education project for Y5 children, which makes the point that road crossing is a skill to be learned in the same way as other skills.

Peter Oliver, Doncaster’s senior RSO, says: “During the 'This Way That Way' production, children participate in a juggling workshop to learn a skill which has to be practised - in the same way that road crossing has to be practised if it is to be a success. Juggling was chosen because it is a unisex activity which can be enjoyed by both boys and girls.”

RSOs are invited to come to Doncaster to view a performance between 12 November and 7 December.
