Schools of Ambition

Schools of Ambition
Two Glasgow schools have used Schools of Ambition funding to introduce pre-driver training into the curriculum.

Pupils at Castlemilk High and St Margaret Mary’s are benefiting from practical driving within the grounds of the school, and weekly presentations about the legal and moral consequences of drink driving, speeding etc.

The project is proving a big hit with pupils. 63 are currently undertaking the sessions, and due to demand after school classes are being considered.

For further information contact Glasgow City Council’s road safety unit on 0141 287 9043.
