Casualty to feature in new P2W campaign

Motorcyclist_Biker_poster_luke-2
Plans for a new campaign targeting young P2W riders – based around the real life story of a crash casualty – have been unveiled.

The campaign features 20-year-old Luke Bristow who lost his left leg below the knee in summer 2006 when he came off his bike.

In the campaign Luke says ‘I never thought this could happen to me’, and warns other young riders to take special care, watch their speed and wear the right gear.

Campaign resources will include a poster, leaflet, radio ad and short film telling Luke’s story.

To date six road safety teams – Buckinghamshire, Calderdale, Cheshire, Cornwall, Essex, and Luton have signed up for the campaign, which will launch in the run up to Easter weekend.

For further information about the campaign, and details of how to participate, contact Jo Lazar, project manager, on 01379 650112.
