Bucks replaces ‘Kill your speed’ signs

Speed_bucks_new_sigh
Bucks’ road safety team has launched a campaign under which 90 ‘Kill your speed’ roadside signs will be replaced with a series of three different posters.

The roadside posters convey messages relating to speed, non-seatbelt wearing and using a mobile phone while driving.

The move follows a survey which indicates that the ‘Kill Your Speed’ signs, which have been in place unchanged since the early 1990s, have become unnoticed. The team says that many residents could not recall if there was a sign in their area.

The initiative will continue with a rolling programme to replace more signs in the future. The signs will be changed at regular intervals to keep the messages fresh in drivers' minds.
