Napkins campaign to cut biker deaths

Motorcyclist_Napkins
Fast food napkins are being used in an effort to cut the number of deaths involving bikers on Cumbria's roads.

Roadside vans and cafes will get thousands of napkins, featuring the slogans 'Bikers Don't Crunch After Lunch' and 'Dead Tired or Just Dead'.

Assistant chief constable Graham Sunderland said: "We are doing all we can to alert motorists to the dangers they face on Cumbria's roads, but road users themselves must take responsibility for preventing another tragedy.

"We hope that by targeting people at the roadside with our safety messages, we can prompt them to take a little more care, and prevent collisions."
