Child Safety week launched

Children_cs2_june/2
‘Make a change. Make a difference’ is the message for 2008 Child Safety Week, 23-29 June.

Child Accident Prevention Trust, which organises the week, is offering free resource packs to those working with children, young people and families. The pack contains an ideas booklet with information to help run local Child Safety Week activities and events, a poster and a set of Fireman Sam stickers.

Katrina Phillips, chief executive of the Child Accident Prevention Trust, explains: “Child Safety Week helps people understand the real risks to children and the simple changes they can make to reduce those risks.

“Last year, local activities reached four million children, parents and grandparents UK-wide. This year, with the renewed emphasis on accident prevention in the Children’s Plan, we want to support local staff and agencies to make an even bigger difference to children’s lives.”
