COSTS bid success

Other_sussex_logo
Following a successful bid for funding from the DfT by the Sussex Safer Roads Partnership (SSRP), the COSTS programme is set to tackle work related road safety across East and West Sussex and Brighton & Hove (RoadSafe News).

COSTS’ primary objective is to reduce business use KSIs by 5% by April 2009, which equates to 45 KSIs. The programme is designed to increase the number of businesses with a robust ORR policy; raise business drivers’ awareness of speed and anti social driving; and develop hazard awareness and defensive driving techniques. The project was launched to coincide with the introduction of the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2008.
