‘Cyclewise’ campaign breaks

The Safer Roads Partnership in West Mercia has launched a new campaign aimed at cyclists and pedestrians.

Advertising on buses and in leisure centres and cinemas will run through June and July. The campaign is also targeting motorists to make them more aware of risks when sharing the road with other users.

The Safer Roads Partnership is also offering ‘Cyclewise’ safety packs - high visibility fluorescent bags containing reflectors, free puncture repair kits and other items - to help young cyclists stay safe on the roads.

Vicki Bristow, for the Safer Roads Partnership, says: "Cycling and walking is a popular pastime in this region - but people need to take care in order to ensure they are doing it as safely as possible. We hope this campaign will help them be that bit safer when using the roads.”
