Team targets parents at induction evenings

Teenagers_rochdale_induction_evenings
Rochdale’s Impact road safety team has targeted parents attending High School induction evenings.

Parents and children were provided with information and web links to local public transport sites. The team said all were unaware that they could plan a route from their own doorstep to school from these sites.

Jacqui Hogg, RSO, said: "Most parents who talked to us at the induction evening openly admitted they had concerns about how their children would manage, and had never considered pre-planning the route with them, or talking them to the bus station to find the stops and timetables."

For further information contact Jacqui Hogg on 01706 924654.
